E Business Appraisals: The March Group's New Avatar

The March Group has changed their name to ACA Partners, LLCand started E Business Appraisals, the website that provides various services right from business evaluation to exit planning.

The fact behind this transition is to get rid of the inglorious reputation gathered over time. This transition is of interest to us as The March Group had conducted M&A seminars nationally, purported to be a major M&A firm serving the middle market, no doubt signed up hundreds of business sellers per year, and has quite a “story” behind them – one which includes claims of being largely an up-front fee collection scam.

E Business Appraisals operates in a similar fashion but has a different story to being with. Its objective is to assist entrepreneurs from start-up to the sale of the company but primarily focuses on getting the business owners sign up for a business evaluation. This business evaluation report cost will go up to a few thousands of dollars which is much higher than industry’s reputed business evaluation firms. This is not the end; it’s just a beginning of the worst part.

Once a business evaluation report is delivered, they leech you to sign up for various other ‘goodies’ that includes your exit planning/selling a business, profit enhancement and other such services the price of which will make your pockets empty without getting any benefits of the services opted for.

The March Group’s new avatar will not wipe the inglorious reputation but would rather add up to its fame of being top notch M&A scamsters.
